Abstract
The study aimed to identify the literature on the topic of entrepreneurship in library and information science departments and schools in universities, both in the Arab world and globally, and the role of those departments in developing an entrepreneurial culture among their students, as well as the students’ attitudes towards entrepreneurship and freelancing in the field of library and information science. The study adopted a literature review approach to present the literature that addressed entrepreneurship in the field of library and information science. The literature review revealed that there is notable interest in library and information science departments and their orientation towards studying entrepreneurship and training students on it, which has become one of the most important trends of library and information science instructors globally in general and in the Arab world in particular. Also, consolidating the concept of entrepreneurship in the field of library and information science in the minds of the department's students with its correct, comprehensive, and integrated understanding, and the need for essential communication between students and entrepreneurs in the library and information science discipline, and learning from their ideas and experiences.
